Only dates I can find on them are the packing dates which are November 1993 on most of it except a few NDW with January 1992. No idea if any of it is still useable but should be since its powder just found it at the back of a cupboard while clearing out. Even throwing in the legendary traceing paper army issue bog paper sheets.

Pk gum a blast from the past

Perhaps I should change the title to RETRO ration pack. I remember the PK gum and Bacon burgers and other food in tins from my cadet days. It took the pee a bit when you food weighed more than a couple of SLR Mags with blanks in.

Hot chocolate was bloody lovely, beef stock drink was quite nice, coffee was like muddy water and the orange and lemon drinks ('screech') were like nothing else on this earth, we suspected that they were some sort of substance left over from a failed cold war chemical weapons program! Shame you haven't got any oatmeal blocks, thinking back, I think oatmeal blocks were the best thing about being a soldier! Glyn.

I remember we used to put the chocolate powder with dried oats to make chocolate porridge on cold morning when on guard duty in cadets.
