Hello!
Was examining some of the ex-military snow camouflage tops(figure it's a great outdoor anorak on the cheap) and bottoms..want to try and dye them a different colour..like gray or green or brown. Any old hands here with tips on how to go about dying white cotton mix garments to a more earth tone colour?
Thanks!

It depends how much synthetik is in the garment and how the material is woven. If the two materials are together in a strand it is possible, if they are woven separately horizontal and vertical (sorry, cant translate "Kette und Schuß") forget it.
You can only dye the cotton, so expect something very strange looking anyway.

Hi Monk

I was talking to an ex royal marine friend of mine last week about the snow camo suits they wear... He said that they were only a camoflauge layer and weren't really waterproof, so may not be much good as an anorak !
