Hello, I read here about USGI and UK canteen cups and systems, but does such a thing also exists for the Dutch canteens?
I've read it, but to me it seems that there are not much possibilities for a Dutch "pot stove" (is that what you call them?)There was a good comparison thread on all three here.
US, UK, Dutch canteen sets compared?
I’m new to the site, but noticed folks had some questions regarding Crusader (Mk1 and Mk2), US and Dutch canteens and cups, etc. I happen to be in possession of each of these. I’m currently about to head in to work, but if you would like to post some questions you’d like answered or compared...bushcraftuk.com
From what I remember of the discussion, the best solution to the lack of stove, was to modify a second dutch mug to use as a stove. Mug sits in stove, USGI/ Nalgene water bottle sits in mug and all fit in the US pouch.I've read it, but to me it seems that there are not much possibilities for a Dutch "pot stove" (is that what you call them?)

I'm asking for a Dutch set, because I have some Dutch canisters and mugs, I don't see why I need to search for a USGI one? From what I remember of the discussion, the best solution to the lack of stove, was to modify a second dutch mug to use as a stove. Ten seconds of googling produced this. No stoves.I'm asking for a Dutch set, because I have some Dutch canisters and mugs, I don't see why I need to search for a USGI one?
If there exists a stove and a lid for it?
The Dutch mugs you mean? yes they are good, but how did you use them? together with the British canteen?I used one before there was such a thing as a British metal mug. We all did because they were easier to get that the US version 1980’s and before. Excellent quality
We did fit the mug in the 58 pattern pouch but on the top of the bottle with a push, no, not the best fit but pouches did closeThe Dutch mugs you mean? yes they are good, but how did you use them? together with the British canteen?
I don't think they fit together, do they?
I had no such luck, as I tried that once, but those steel mugs are so damn tough that I ruined my grinder. From what I remember of the discussion, the best solution to the lack of stove, was to modify a second dutch mug to use as a stove.
