Thanks for that @Lore I've currently got some very old late 1950s Aluminium British mess tins that I take camping, they have seen better days and have pitting in the bottom now, so time to eat from something a little more user friendly!
Any joy @Edsmate ? The article says the Aluminium ones are Riveted, and the Stainless steel ones should be spot welded
