Excellent film Rik, cheers for posting. Though our highest UK mountain Nevis can be a bit like Sauchiehall Street on a Saturday afternoon some times it's so busy. Reminds me of some of the Citron 2CV stuff. Originally built so French farmers could take stuff across ploughed fields to market they are pretty unstoppable.

Don't know if you remember the Africar Project? A mate of mine was one of the engineers on that, they tested it all over the world. A car with a wooden chassis and simple engineering that would mean that it would be simple to build and maintain in developing countries. He said that the only thing that regularly beat it over rough ground was the 2CV.

A bloke I know - Friend Wood - built a car, using a 2CV engine and some other bits, with a wooden chassis and laminated wood body. A fantastic car it was so light that we picked it up and carried it up some steps into a hall by St Davids Cathedral for an exhibition (took about 10 chaps to carry it as I recall).
