I've got the same ones Jacob, you can only buy them from the PHD website though.

They have sales on throughout the year where you can save some pennies, it's worth a look on OutdoorsMagic for secondhand

Well, you can get the issued British Army tent booties for way less than the price listed above.

Snugpak also offers such booties, yet expensive

Years ago I had a pair of Arktis Tent boots with Cordura sole and used to wear them during snow camping. You could also wear them over you ordinary boots, but didn't try it.

Seems it's still for sale from Arktis!

Thanks for your help. Do you know what the weight of the British army ones are. The snug pak ones are quite expensive. Ans the arktis ones even more so. What appeals to me about down is it has great insulation value but is very light and packs down tiny. :)

The Brit ones are very good the only minus is they are quite bulky. In the end I sold mine and got a pair of Pile / Pertex over socks made by Mardale which are great. Sadly I don't think they (or Buffalo) make them anymore. I think the Nanok ones would be be the best depending on what you want from them.

The nanock ones do look good. Might get a pair.

What do you think of the guy who sells them from across the pond. The seem light and warm. The cover could also be a great addition.

Rab's down socks are very good and they stood up to some hard use on the Arctic course last year with Rab over-covers

I imported some MEC hut booties. They're synthetic but I wanted to use them for toilet trips and change of footwear in the snow so shyed away from my beloved goose down as I thought they would get a bit damp under hard use. I can't fault them, especially for $25.
