Ayup , can someone please educate me (and others) on patterns and uses ?

I acquired these two today in a deal. I'm curious to ages and uses. One is supposed to be a Richardson's Sheffield and the other is a Whitehouse.

Cheers Hugh .....not the answer I was hoping for..but interesting. I've seen Cornelius hedgehog choppers before. Iirc I gave Mark one ? I associated them more with wood tools. And Richardson being knife makers......Hope I've not been spanked.....

Not sure - they could be wood tools - brick axe was a pure guess. If they are for wood they are certainly shaping tools like a carpenter's axe - the straight bit would seem to indicate that.

I've £50 in the pair of them , I know I'm going to probably take a loss unless I bay them. Maybe interested in some skill work along the lines of some leather work or rehandling and profiling my woodsmans pal
