Made a traditional wooden "pilk" a weeka go that we use for ice fishing up here.

To catch some arctic charr like we did today
Hre is waht to do. Shape the "pilk" with a knife and sand it down. Drill a hole for a peg in front of the natural one (see pic). Put in the peg and glue it in place. That will not be bnecessary if you use a dried peg and a fresh branch. The wood will dry and hold the peg. Drill a 3 mm hole from top to bottom in front of the peg. Run the line along the top, and town trough a hole in the tip. Catch fish
