DIY Fox Call

At the Moot, someone demonstrated a way of calling a fox, I think by blowing against one of the soft parts of his hand to make a squeak like a distressed rabbit. I've been trying to remember what he did, but can't, so I wonder if he or someone else could enlighten me, as I'm curious to see if I could get one to come up close to me.

You can also do the same noise by just sucking through your lips. Its basicly just a high pitched squeal that foxes think is an injured rabbit.. It works well

I've just been down the garden having a go. Didn't get any foxes (though I know there are a few urban ones round here), but I seemed to get some of the local cats interested. Still, I know what to do now.

Polystyrene on glass has the same effect and will certainly get the attention long enough for a shot.

I always used to use polystyrene and a piece of ceramic tile. Lick the tile and draw the polystyrene down it slowly. Very effective as I recall... ;-)

i dont know about sucking my hand but i can bark /howl like a fox and also bark like a dog ..'deer and loads of other animals ,if you listen to the animal calls and then try to imitate them you never know what you might see ..rob
