Desert DPM Patrol Pack - Is it possible to dye?

I bought a job lot of stuff from an auction the other day, amongst some bits was a brand new Patrol Pack

Has anyone successfully dyes this material a more greeny colour?

We used to use spay paint to make our webbing/etc more 'multi-cam' before we were issued MTP. It seemed to last quite well, surviving the rigours etc.... You could try that. Not sure how even you could get it though.
