DD Travel Hammock with Mat

I'm off for my 1st hammocking weekend and I planned to use my Vango self inflating mat between the hammock layers for extra insulation. However, I've just noticed that the DD website says it's suitable for a 3/4 mat. Does this mean my mat wont fit?

Don't put too much air into it and fold over the extra end length.

My full size mat fits into the dd hammock with no problems.
