As far as I can see if its silver it will reflect heat and light off the UCO and the stove it all helps

At £3,99 a yard you could make a copy of the lavvu tarp in the material for not very much with easily added panels for wind breaks maybe if you wanted to close a side off?

Scandinavian outdoor sell gear fabric with a silver PU coating. wonder if its the same stuff they make the Loue from?

The Loue isnt ripstop but it would do the same thing ..

here is a piccy under the flash from my phone next to some tin foil. certainly some reflective highlights in the cloth but its not tin foil lol

How about using the stuff to make a Jervens type bag with a poncho liner as a quilted liner. If it comes out big enough you might even fit a sleepingbag inside.

Did anyone ever figure out for sure if this fabric reflects much heat? I too am thinking of it's usefulness in making a loue but I'd really like something that reflects a bit of heat from the fire.

If you got a brass popper kit like I got you could make this into a bath tub sheet really easy!! You could also put removable webbing on there for the loops the pegs go through!!
