Afternoon all,

I'm getting used to leatherwork, watched every vid I can find and have made a few bits I find very useful, I'm quite proud of them too though they are very basic.

I'm making a handbag for my prettier half and want to stitch on a large leather leaf, probably oak or maple. Can anyone advise how to crease / tool the veins into it? I'm trying to push past my basic skills but have very limited leather to div about with. Could I wet it and do it with a screwdriver? Or do I need a "veiner" stamp (there seems to be so many!).

The bag is in kit form but I'm customising it as much as I can.

Thanks all

Brady
