“ starting with ⅝” round stainless bar stock and working with a subtractive process to cut material away. They first notched the material at ½” intervals to provide grip — and allow the knife to double as a quick visual ruler — then made two compound cuts to create the cutting edge. The flat ground edge is easy to maintain, meaning it’s simple to hone if you ever need it razor sharp.”

Blade Material: Brass
Overall Length (cm) 13.3
Blade Finish: Brushed
Handle Material: Stainless Steel

Number 1, they copy pasted nonsensical blurb that is talking about a steel tool, for a Brass model.
Number 2, the maker comes across as dodgy, for example with their over described manufacturing method, as if grinding a couple flats on a round bar is special.
Number 3, razor sharp brass?!? Seriously :lmao: ?
Number 4, it’s a bloomin’ fixed blade! Who in their right mind in the UK would have a razor sharp blade casually on display in an office, with the justification that they might want to open some mail?

All a steal at £66.95

Yep, I did wonder if it was actually a brass coloured stainless steel knife. Why on earth make the handle from stainless and the blade from brass and make it all look like brass? As you say, cut and paste garbage.

Having said all that, I did think it looked quite 'sexy' :)

Ye gods, even I could make something like that with a brass rod and a file, and maybe better looking too.

“Where are your products manufactured and designed?
-
Our products are all designed and prototyped at our studio in Brooklyn, New York. Manufacturing country can vary. We have trusted partners in China, Italy, Japan, and across the United States.”

Looking at their website, they appear to be a “design house” aimed at shiny, unnecessary gifts and desk ornaments. Ironically, in their About section they claim to know the world has too much “stuff” then proceed to try to explain why their “stuff” is needed, largely because it is more shiny and more designed.
Hmmmm. Yeah.

I am baffled by this assertion: "Items like the pen, the notebook, the calculator, and the cutting tool. These are the four physical objects we reach for again and again in the course of a day." I dislike sentences that do not contain a main verb and, in this instance, the attempted use of an Oxford comma is inappropriate. Then, I do wonder what sort of work the author of this exemplary text does? He or she seems to be caught in a 1970s time warp.

I received the same email.

I thought the same things about the expensive desk knife/prison shank.

Heinnie sell some good stuff, but they also offer some very expensive baubles and man-jewellery.

I wonder how much of it they actually sell?

Hennie sent me an email with knifes that were £1700, on sale I might add!

I did give me a chuckle as I’ve only bought Moras from them lol maybe got the customer wrong!
The £1700 bargain will cut so much better than the Mora, I'm sure. Hmmmm. But nobody will ever use one after testing it on a piece of paper.

Sometimes I'm scared to use a Fallkniven F1 because it's too expensive. With a Moras I sometimes abuse the hell out of them because it doesn't matter if it breaks (it never has).

I really thought this came with a stand already otherwise it's just a rolling nightmare. But no. The stand is another £33.95.

I keep a knife at my desk....it's an old table knife :) It's the handiest thing for cutting paper.

It came from the clear out of an Auntie's kitchen drawer, must be seventy or eighty years old, and it's still a better tool than that 'thing' in Post No.1

That looks really similar to some of the cutlery my grandparents had, especially the handle. A memory I didn’t remember I had, thanks.
