Craft kit ideas...Anyone?

When out and about or camping with the scouts etc like to kick back and do crafty things around the fire, spoon carving, tinderbox making etc etc.

Do you guys carry your crafty kit; carving knife, hook knife, sand paper, lighter etc strewn throughout your kit or do you have it in a bag or roll etc?

or dont you bother...

or in the bottom of a side pocket
if i i feel really organised it goes in a response bag but it never lasts
