Couple of bushcrafters almost done

almost finished these two 3.5" bladed bushcrafters in 3mm o1, just waiting for the sheaths to dry out after wet forming so can wax them. ones in oak and the other im not sure but has beautiful striping!

Cracking bit of wood there Mark. I wonder if it’s a bit of Maple, I’m sure I’ve seen similar on Paps Tomahawks.

If the stripey one is stabilised, then I rather think it is a bit of Californian Redwood I sent you some months back. Looks just like the colour and pattern.

thanks you yes i think it is the piece you sent me, its beautiful wood. the oak was from an old piece of work top i had

Thanks, just finished another "Jacoblore" i was working on at the same time, 4mm o1 with tapered tang and olive wood scales. just needs a sheath.
