This is a knife I started some months ago and finally finished. The blade is full tang 4mm 01 tool steel, professionally hardened to 58rc. The back edge of the blade is decorated with freehand floral filework. The scales are Jarrah Burl, treated with Danish Oil; the pommel and the pins are made of copper. The blade is 215 mm long, the handle part is 115 mm long, the blade is 98 mm long by 25 mm wide with scandi grind.

The scales are epoxied to the blade and copper pommel. The blade looks quite slim but is very strong due to the 4 mm thickness of the steel

The sheath is made of 3 mm hand carved veg tan leather, dyed dark brown. If prefered, I could make another sheath to a different design.

I must admit I really like that knife fella. The wife would be mad if I got another one though. Keep up the good work.

Simon.

Looks good mate. Hope the Jarrah didn't cause you any problems. I've only used one bit of the cocobolo. It's not the most pleasant wood to work but the results are good, and it didn't half set me sneezing when I moved my bandsaw without a dust mask on:eek: .

Wot a cracker!!!
Quality and filework is excellent as is the nicely decorated sheath. I'm not usually a fan of tooled leather but this is exceptionally well done.
A very happy bunny!!!:You_Rock_
