Same principle as a pergola, they're a good solution but take a bit of a hammering from the sun and the weather. You might want to make them plastic and/or demountable for maintenance and to maybe put away for winter.I’m going to add a Brise Soleil to the side door and rear window currently covered with an old dust sheet. Also looking at putting some screening on rear conservatory/porch for next round of heat this summer.

You, sir, are a rotten scoundrel! No gentleman addresses a lady in such a manner!Well if your lady garden needs wetting a bit, go for it.
I was thinking of a removable framework of light weight wood covered in greenhouse screening.Same principle as a pergola, they're a good solution but take a bit of a hammering from the sun and the weather. Will the buttercup survive and root again if you leave the grass mowings to dry first on the lawn like hay?
Well it's the weekend here, present temp 11° wet windy and grey skies.Back to coping with the cold here.37°C last week, 15°C this week. The tomato plants are waving a white flag. Have to wait to the weekend before the temps. start to rise into the 20s again. Not complaining though...I prefer this weather to the heatwaves.
Been sleeping under a Sungpak Jungle blanket the last week and it's chilly enough I've just thrown a blanket over the top rather than try and fight with a duvet cover at midnight.Well it's the weekend here, present temp 11° wet windy and grey skies.
Thermal vest and winter coat back on today.
Flaming June eh?
