Just chatting to a buddy of mine who will be coming along too.
He's wondering if we should make it a little bit christmasy themed and wants to bring his pyrography stuff.
We were also talking about cooking some meat and veg in a cooking pit with stones? - Anyone fancy that? We can keep them separate for the veggie types.
All the best
Andy
Big place Comrie croft so no real limit to numbers, been a few years since was last there where we had a New year meet . I would definitely be up for a meet November , December or even January .
Has changed a lot...looking really great.
Just spent a couple of nights in one of their Katas ... autumn colours are fantastic just now.
Hopefully the meet happens love to get the hammock out.
Hi chaps - sorry I've been a bit lax. I've just emailed Comrie. Currently working night shift so I can't call. I've asked if they can have us on the first or second weekend in December. Once I get a reply I'll let you know.
I should get ashore by Thursday so I'll give them a call and chase things up if I haven't had a reply by then.
Do people have a preference for dates? I'm leaning towards the first weekend personally.
I had hoped to have use of the hall to do a little trading, but beyond that yeah pretty much. Bring what ever you want and have a bit of a play. I'll probably be bringing some blacksmithing kit for a bit of a bash but nothing major.
I'll bring some stuff for car boot type thing. I have a heap of paracord jigs for bracelets is anyone's interested in having a go. (not as tallented as some of you guys with smithing etc!!)
I wish I could join you!
The wife and I stayed for a couple of nights on our way up to Orkney in the Spring and liked it a lot.
I can imagine that Comrie Croft plus a bunch of Bushcrafters would be excellent!
Have fun everyone!
