...so, one leather compass cover. 1mm vegtan wetformed then hot waxed outside then in. Was a little dubious when I started making it but it stretched over the dome much easier than I expected it too. Dried it in-situ then lifted it off and played a heatgun over it while brushing in wax. Firmed up just like the leather water flasks do.
Only needs the bow loosened and flipped back, there's room for it before the bulkhead.
