Naaa... the coldest place on Earth right now is my office! 4 layers and it's still too damned cold for comfort

Applicable to camping too.....don't set up on a slight hollow just downhill from an exposed top.....that's how those cold pockets developed those incredibly cold temperatures.

Do the folk who actually go there (does anyone go there ? ) end up wearing the equivalent of environmental suits ?
It's dry though, so is it easy to breath such cold ?

Let's put it this way. At -40C if you boil water on a stove, and then pour it out, the boiling water freezes instantly, and explosively, whilst still in the air. These temperatures are waaay lower than that.

Now thats scary cold! I would imagine you would need to wear full heated Zero-suits for that one. and definitely an equipment killer
