Like that idea but noe to sure about the glass jar bit think i'd end up breaking the jar

I have one of these stoves but it is a metal base. They are sold as meths equiv of a bunsen burner for lab use.
Not very good and not (IMHO) worth using.
The problem with the metal base is that the base takes heat away and can actualy 'quench the flame'.

I've a couple of 'proper' coil burners, they both use petrol/Coleman fuel.

This Taykit is nice, folds up into a tin not much bigger than a baccy tin

I just don't trust the home made ones.
