Cleanwater purification bag

simple idea, but very bulky looking and your screwed if the bag is pierced or torn.

something larger (post bag size) would be great for a camp water supply.
 
Dunno but it says:

"The filter is impregnated with colloidal silver which removes 99.99% of all disease-causing bacteria and cysts"!

As far as I'm aware the only safe way to purify is either Iodine or Chlorine, preferably Iodine.

Collodial Silver as far as I can recall is snake oil...
 
I've always used a Millbank and then boiled but the bags soon get knackered and these looked like they might be easier to keep clean.
The spout bit does look a bit awkward to pack though.
 
Shewie, if you're boiling anyway why not try the filters you can get at bio-diesel shops. I can't remember the name of the one I got mine at, but it's a 25micron nylon filter, easy to clean and very robust. Think it cost about a fiver. As I recall, there are tons of types too and sizes..
