One of the Chris Reeve discontinued one piece hollow handle survival knives.

This is the Shadow III with the 4 inch blade and the whole knife is made from one piece of A2.

The knife is lightly used but the edge is perfect.

This is a complete set with boxes and original paperwork.

Prices are a little silly for these now in the States since production was stopped, Id like £325 please via BT, which is very fair for one now in the UK

Thanks BCUK

Oh man, if only. I’d love to get my hands on one of these but unlikely from a 2017 ad.
As this is an old thread I don't feel like I'm treading on toes.
have a Jereboam 1 that I've had since the early 90s.
Seems the prices have indeed shot up recently and the last time I saw they were online for (US site) about fifteen hundred dollars.
I got mine from Framar Shooting world with serial No of 15 for £182.

Oddly enough, the sheath on mines made in South Africa and the knife says its made in the USA on it. It's got the hexagonal cap on the end and the later ones have the round knurled caps.

Must have been as he moved over to the US I guess.

BTW, all the OPK were made in the RSA, and the grind profile and blade shape were done in the USA, hence the licence to say "Made in the USA. "

When the maker ( who i knew) retired in the RSA, CRK stopped "making" them...

No matter, they were and are fine knives right now!

Beautiful blades and an Aviator has been on my wishlist since my SWAT reading days. Honestly though, I couldn't put out a grand on one.

So, am I right in thinking that most of them were made in South Africa even when they were ground and profiled in the US?
Not that it makes much difference but it's interesting all the same.

Eddie Myers was Chris's boss and friend, and then Chris went on his own, making knives full time.
You might notice that later knives had obvious machining marks on the ricasso area?

Eddies workshop was about 3 klicks from my flat, and I went to him to machining brass, and I saw the CRK process in progress in CNC mills etc.

Later on, Eddie moved his factory a small distance away, and the workshop access was verbotten from then on.

There's something weird going on with the numbering system on the Jereboam 1s though.
Mines number 15 and says it's made in the US, but I've seen a few for sale with numbers in the hundreds saying they were made in south Africa.

Saw one on the net the other day that was 394 out of 529, made in South Africa in 1988.
Think mine was made on either 90 or 91 and has number 15 so did they start back at the beginning or something?

No way could I justify almost €1200 on a knife. I just want to scratch the "hollow" handle itch and always loved the CR knives but I'd be loathe to use it if spending that much. Must have a look around for a decent alternative. I think Martin knives made some cool survival knives.

Nor me, it's waay too much for a knife and I wouldn't pay that much for one.
I paid 182 quid for mine one time when I got some tax back and was feeling a bit flush.
To be honest its a big lump and a bit of a teenage purchase (well, I was more like 20 but close ebough) and I feel a bit daft for getting it.
It seems to have turned out OK cos they've gone daft price wise so if I was to do it again I would have bought a couple of Aviators to flog off and maybe a Mountaineer to keep.

Thing is, I'll eventually sell mine but likely to a collector cos...well... moneys usefull innit.
