D'you know I'd forgotten that :D

Glad it's proved to be fun to use. I have a bag of tow flax fibres if you want a play with that too. I do like good natural fibres, especially ones that will grow here.

I've managed to sprain my wrist and it's a right royal pain to do anything just now. Feeling somewhat frustrated in my inability to get on with things, like spinning.

Which fish will you try and catch with the hook? Using earth worm?

I have always wanted to try a true paleo way to catch fish, but chickened out because I do not want to lose a badly damaged one to die suffering.

Never tried aspen bark. Is it like lime ?

M

Its like an unboiled willow bast, easy to work when wet, but it dries hard and brittle, mind you ive not tried it boiled with ashes as you would with willow yet, as ive not had the opportunity to have a fire for a while.

never tried Hemp to make cordage
looks good
wish i could grasp thigh roll just baffles me

Likewise, i cant get on with the finger twisting thing at the moment, although im sure that is down to my lack of dexterity more than anything.

The hemp is lovely, so soft and supple
