Hi All

A cherry bowl that I have carved, the blades are Nic Westermans (excellent blade) the handles are mine.

I've just scored loads of cherry and I'm looking forward to carving with it.

cherry is a characterful wood, but a swine to dry out without bad crack's. Hopefully that wont happen in the middle of either handle on your dish!

PS nice looking knives and blades also!

I've just scored loads of cherry and I'm looking forward to carving with it.
My collection of oranges is actually one overworked orange, in fact I regret to tell you that it is now deceased, tasty though.

I fin cherry a bugger to work as it seems prone to tearing so I tend to do a bit and then let the surface dry for a day or two then do a bit more.

I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
