Found this advert on EvilBay for deliveries of parcels. Just had a quote for a 28KG package (as the PO won't do it) for £6.95 for a 48 hour home delivery and pick up :yikes:

Anyone used them or know of a better one?

One of the big supermarkets use home delivery network, as do the big catalogues. You should be ok with them.
Tuffnells are worth a try too.

can't abide my stuff coming via home delivery network

drivers don't know how to knock on a door, was 2 ft away from the door when through the letter box comes a card, driver practically ran to his van and drove off.
and decide to stamp on the parcel when you complain about them (nice big and deep boot print on the packaging)

HDN are owned by Littlewoods.com. Apparently they deliver to every post code in the UK every day and have more vans on the road than the post office! At least that's what they told all their suppliers at the conference they hosted.
