chanterelles?????

found these a couple of years ago, and took a photo. Im sure they were chanterelles... but they smelled a bit mushroomy.. and the chanterelles I have bought at supermarket have a pleasant odour?
what do you guys reckon?
they were under a birch, on mulch, in a car park.

Hmm, they look like False Chanterelles but I'm not sure, the Chanterelles I've picked are a deeper egg yellow & have a more of a wavy rim.
