HI,

I've spent all afternoon looking about on the internet, but to no avail. Anyone know where I can pick up some champagne / sparkling wine bottles? I'm gonna make some elderflower champagne and normal wine bottles are no good (they tend to explode!)

thanks as always :)

How many do you want Dave?

If you want to collect from Hampshire I could save some easy enough

We have a lot of big hotels around; if you ask nicely after a wedding reception they'll usually let you have as many as you like.
Cheers,

When I needed some for the same job I got them from a wedding.

I also got some out of an unlocked glass recycling bin.

Toddy's idea of asking at a hotel sounds good too.

I've got a load of flip-top beer bottles, but I really wanted some thing a bit bigger..

They also do Grolsh in 1.5 litre glass bottles...

Dunno if it was a special offer thing but my local shop was selling them a few months ago.

Getting the bottles is the least of your worries - it's finding the corks and a suitable corker. Me, I'd go for pop bottles...
