Just a short walk over Eglwysilan 'mountain' in South Wales over the weekend practicing some micro navigation and checking out some prehistoric or medieval cross dykes and earthworks.

I'm not well educated in history, so if anybody would like to share some knowledge on these types of landmark, please do, or if anybody has any book recommendations would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Cross Dyke

I believe I navigated to the correct area of this earthworks, there was nothing in the immediate area that clearly stood out, but if you look closely you can just about make out a faint circle.

This was the other earthworks, which is clearly visible.

Gah, I have access to CANMORE (Scotland) and the local HER (Heritage environment resource) but no idea of the Welsh one.

Possibly on the local council page?

Anyone know this? The mapping systems can be a great help.
