Cast Iron Kadai/Kahri

Picked up in local KRK asian store on Woodlands Rd, Glasgow. Cast iron kadai/kahri about size of 1/2 a football. Season as normal. Excellent for curries but it's pretty robust and would be equally at home on an open fire. It's not thin like a wok and is reassuringly heavy! Cost about £5. I'm sure you'll get them in other places. I'm also looking for a larger one in cast aluminium - if anyone knows a good source, let me know. And don't say eBay - I looked.

not bad at price. Be interesting to see how it holds up..... Might pop into town and get one!

You'll have to search for it! They're hidden behind boxes in the pans section (2nd shelf up, I think). There are a few smaller ones there too.

Have already made a number of curries in it and it is a joy to cook with.

lost of nice stuff and always had good delivery, better if you have a local shop but kings lynn is not too good for anything from johnny foreigner

nice and heavy, works perfectly on charcoal, wood a small scrap fire as well as on a gas stove. One of the best pots I have and I have lots

I'm waiting for Spices of India top get their next container in from India - it should have the bigger aluminium kadais on board! Just not feeling very patient at the moment. Heh heh!
