My mum asked me to carve a spoon she could use on her soups. So feeling a bit bored this afternoon I started it. My daughter took the pics, as I followed the shade around the garden. Hope you like.

The wood is a piece of Willow roughed out with an axe. Still lots to do.

It's a laminated steel Japanese hand axe from Axminster tools. I've had it for four or five years now and like it very much, keeps a good edge. is comfortable to use, and is fine enough for carving even though it's really a splitting axe. Thanks for asking.
