Canvas tarp

Anyone ever use the cotton type tarp aka what the fireservice use?
I guess they are really heavy but whats ya thoughts?
There is a problem with the one I have got access to though............did I tell you my mate works in the morgue........

I think Wayland uses a cotton tarp.
I remember he did a bit of a write up on it with a nice pic, but I can't find the thread.

hi

i've got a canvas rollout tarp attached the side of my Patrol which gets used when i go out bush with my car, but i'm walking, i'll carry a silnylon tarp (http://www.seatosummit.com.au/showdetail.php?Code=WEOHSIL) whch is much much lighter and can be configured in various ways.

the good thing about this particular brand is that they dont make them in those eye popping colours either!! nice dark green, grey and dark blue!

Ta for the replies may have it as its free but need to find a way of cleaning it....... just finishing a curry so best not go into too many details.
