That's a pretty good resource. The weather and fauna sections are of course canadian specific, but it's clearly written with good illustrations.

I am an Army Cadet Instructor in the UK and have worked alongside the Canadian Cadets..
Our Cadet Manual has an Expedition Training section but won't dare touch things like Food Hanging or Survival for fear of the great big "Liability" thing we now seem to have in the UK.
Having just had a closer look.. a lot of the images/illustrations they use are identical to our Cadet Manual... must be the Crown Copyright thing passing through the commonwealth
However the Canadians didn't fare too well in the Tactical aspect of Cadets (Fieldcraft and battle tactics), and from what I remember were Shocked when a "talking bush" with a welsh accent asked them a password.
