Ludlow and in the wild
i know that this was covered a while back but i can't find the thread. Does anybody know of any nice campsites that allow small fires, somewhere within a 2hr ish drive of the west mids.
Was supposed to go the south wales moot this wkend but swmbo wants to take the hounds (fair enough i guess). it's been a rough couple of weeks and we need to get away. Any suggestions?

I know of a farm in the Wyre Forest, village called Far Forest. They allow to use their field or you can camp down in their valley, next to Dowles Brook, in the forest.

SO732762 the following link may work.

I have camped there a few times, mostly with my scout troop, but we were permitted to use fires and lay snares etc. Its not a camp site though, merely a field, a forest and a stream.http://www.multimap.com/map/browse....ced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&o
