I have slept out on top of Cadair many times - I am still not a poet.......:)
At one time our Scout group pretty well adopted the summit bothy and kept a lamp up there.
In heavy rain the floor used to flood so beware of kipping on the floor!

As I recall there are freestanding posts inside - but I dont know how far apart they are...
We used to push a couple of the benches inside together...
The North side of the hut stayed drier...

Just got back today and it DID not go to plan. Got half way up the Pony Path and stopped for a brew:) opened up the rucksack and:eek: gas left in the van.

Anyhow, ploughed on with all the gear but decided not to stay on top and get back to the van. Decided to get down via Foxes Path(steep scree scramble) and just managed to catch up with Man, Wife, Two young teen girls, five year old All wearing wellies:confused:.

I had a half tonne rucksack and the "correct" gear:).

Thank goodness they all got down in one piece.

The spectacular views were worth it though, and anyway, I am already mad:lmao:

I was only up there an hour, and heard voices talking as clear as you like...........look round................. no one there.

Must be the angle of the cliffs or something but a decidedly strange feeling:)
