There's a short review of a Byrd knife in this month's Shooting Sports.
A subsiduary of Spyderco, and taking a lot of influence from them but MUCH cheeper (£16.00 for the 3.5 inch drop point on review).
The steel is 'similar to AUS-8', they did quote the type but I can't remember it
Anyone ever heard of Byrd before - if they're anywhere near as good as the parent company knives then these could be worth a look
There's a bit on them here (it's about the only knife site my work software will allow me to view - dam computers :twak: ) the one on review is the Raven.
