It depends on what size buttons you need. If you only want small buttons you can cut pieces from the tines, where there is hardly any marrow, if any. If you sand the tine before cutting they would all be almost the same size. If they aren't big enough cut them from the side of the antler rather than across, as previously said. If you are stuck for antler and can give me a rough idea how many buttons you need and what size i'll see what antler off cuts i have in the shed.
