Or belt loop knife, or anywhere with a convenient hole to hang it from knife, you get the picture!
So, once again, with too much time on my hands, I decided to rehandle a small Lauri neck knife. I tend to find small blades are far more use than 'bushy' type blades for all the stuff that I ask of them, which is mainly whittling and leatherwork plus the occasional bout of maggot drowning, so a while ago I made myself a small neck knife with a one piece cherry handle.
I hated it!
So, after ignoring it for a while, I came up with this.
Overall, it measures just 5.5 inches (138mm) and can be hung from a belt or belt loop, or the buttonhole of my swannie, or virtually anywhere with a suitable buttonhole or loop, hence 'buttonhole knife'.
The handle is black buffalo and antler and the hanger is a damaged tine that wouldn't be used for much else, so ended up involved in this.
So, what do you think? Are buttonhole knives here to stay...
Apologies, by the way, for the rubbish pictures, indoor photograhy was never my forte...
