Butterfly!

I live in Ascot in Berkshire. The heavy rain has stopped and it is now sunny and quite warm. While having a spot of lunch in the conservatory,I have seen a rather large red admiral butterfly parading around the garden.
Isn`t this a bit unusual for this time of year?

not if its mild they will be around till it gose really cold or to late for any flowers for nector. You sometimes can see them and other butterflys in mid winter if you get a mild spell.

We had a Butterfly expert over to talk to our Cubs a while ago and he said that Red Admirals are usually the ones left to turn the lights out and the end of Nov is usual.
