Hey all!

I was wondering if anyone has ever made a loom when out in the bush, to make matresses and such? It seems very intersting and fairly easy. If you have, how much cord does it take, and what type?

Thanks all!!

Google "peg Loom"

You could make any number of things including a nice under blanket from wool fleece or any other mateial for that matter

I have seen this done at a festival - but I have not tried it myself!
They used LOADS of sisal sring to make a rush fence......
I would think that a decent matress - 7 foot long by 3 foot wide - could be done with about 100 foot of cord......this is a rough eastimate only as it depends a lot on how thick you want the matress to be.
The weaving is very hard on the back of whoever is on the lifting and lowering of the loom bar!
