I noticed that it is dated 1939.

I liked the "you can't get a decent cook set for two people" bit, and that he mentions that it is rather heavy even for a pack animal let alone a couple of people

In some ways it reminds me of Nessmuk, but in others it doesn't. Nessmuk for a start would of had a pack that weighed in at less than 35 pounds and this guys appears to weigh in at around 350 pounds

Probably I shouldve said, an amusing read written in an old fashioned style reminiscent of Nessmuk, with an intriguing heading, but dont take it too literally

OMG.....I'm going to have nightmares about that site for the rest of my life. Sigmund Freud says that I'll use repression to suppress my feelings of anger towards my father for making me carry so much gear when I was younger. And thanks to that website, my ego failed to moderate the psychic energy from my id.
