Building a sheath for this particular knife - question

I tried a couple of options for a Boat Knife style blade which isn't 100 miles away. First one was a friction fit belt sheath. Was very deep as needed to grab the top of the handle and so the lanyard came in useful. Note the extra stitching to make it tighter.

2nd one was for living in my pack and used a sam brown stud to secure it. May not work for your blade shape

That one is not very bonny but very functional, works well!

They look awesome, the friction style one is almost exactly what I thought would be suggested
