Got smoke with the hand drill yesterday but no ember .But been teaching my neighbours kids and there dads the bow drill ,its good fun

I had a do with a hand drill yesterday but I don't think my drill was long enough. what is the recomended length?

Excellent display Jason,

John Fenna and myself did the same last w/end, John got some good photo's too maybe he can display them for us!
Although there is no final dry grass to flame in front of face shot because it got a bit too hot and I put it down quite rapidly!!
