hiya guys been watching on youtube about cheap home made saw so i thought i would have a go found some old silver birch that had been laying on the ground for a wile so i cut a few bits of and had a go bought the blade from our local wilkinsons for £2.90 i only used my axe clipper and saw and a little bit of time its not perfect but i will give it a sand see what happens

Try moving the fulcrum closer to the blade, the closer it is to the blade the greater the mechanical advantage.

if you rap the cord around the top several times you will achive a better tention rather than with just the two cords.
