British Army Arctic socks,any good?

I've been thinking about trying a pair of the above,does anyone have a pair,if so,what's the verdict on them please?

Also,where did you get them and what sort of price are they?

I live in them on winter trips, toasty warm and cheap too. I pick them up on ebay for around a fiver a pair, sometimes new sometimes issued.

Warm. They are really good warm socks. From my local surplus store they are £2 used or £8 new.

No mate, Johnson's Leeds. The used ones look almost good as now l new.

Patrol base in huddersfield do them for a couple of quid, well they did last time I was there.

What shoe size are they as it doesn't say?

I'm an 11 and they fit, good socks. The £1 are not new but in great nick. I got some new for IIRC £5/£6 a pair and personally I prefer them (warmer) to the Bridgedale's I paid a tenner or more for.
