Breakfast in the woods

Went out for a quick walk after the school run to a wood I have permission to use. On exploring it, it seems to be a bit swampy.

Found some where raised and dry and set up my tarp, then went to find some wood for the honey stove.

Got what I thought was enough and got it lit. Made a brew first then put on my beans for breakfast. Then realised just how fast the honey stove can burn wood.

So gathered some more wood and found a neat trick. The plastic sheath of my mora has a small hole on the bottom of it. This allowed me to direct the air and channel it on to the embers. Just had to be careful not to let the sheath get to close to the fire.

So I am sitting here now eating my beans, drinking my coffee and enjoying a fire.

In a hammock no, in a tent or bivi yes. Should be ok.
