Just finished (well nearly finished) these today, the bowl is from a piece of Ash and was hollowed out using my Adze, the spoon is from a piece of Poplar and is for show only because of the knots, the spoon needs some more work doing on the bowl as it's a little heavy and thick in places.
The Ash bowl turned out 'ok', im not entirely happy with it, as it's a bit thick in places and not as big as i would have liked, but when i started it i had to use what wood was available to me, ive since 'foraged' some much bigger pieces of wood to hollow out for bowls and troughs.
