Bowl Carving bench

I finally got round to making a bowl carving bench this weekend.

I decided to give it a whirl with a chunk of poplar I had laying around. It does make life a lot easier working off something like this.
Bowl needs a final sanding just letting it dry off for now.

I like the rows of peg holes and pegs for sizing to the carving.
The whole bench looks inviting to sit at and carve.
Have you built a chair to match?

That is really rather good! Nice bowl too.

I haven’t made a chair just for the fact I prefer to stand when I work as I’m always leaning over and moving to different angles.

I can remember being able to stand and carve for hours.
My rotted sense of balance tells me to " Sit, boy. Good dog."
