Good day all.
I have a question about bone carving.
I have been given some coyote jawbone pieces by someone who wants me to use fragments of them as an inlay.
However, they have been stored in mineral oil and I'm not sure how to get rid of it.
Should I boil them?
He doesn't want anything too intricate carved from them, he wants me to use them as small pieces of inlay on a the handle fo a knife that I'm making for him.
I just don't know hoe to get rid of the oil so I can start work.
Any hints and tips will be very much appreciated.
Thanks.
